About Us

It’s your boy Remoy George Philip THEE First. . .

And this is Samantha Nzessi. . .

This is. . . MASKulinity!

Welcome to our sometimes loud but necessary banter on what masculinity means to our society.

Has traditional masculinity actually been good to men? Do they feel like they can really be themselves? We say there’s a lot of MASKulinity out there…

And we’re talking about it all… AND catching Remoy up!

You see, Remoy reads a lot of books and stays away from social media. On the other hand, you can find Samantha doomscrolling on all social media platforms. So every other week, she catches Remoy up on cultural trends and news stories, occasionally throwing in a trivia game. They talk movies, mental health, sports, and more, examining how gendered trends impact men and masculine-identified people.

Insightful guests—experts in the fields of gender studies, activists, or even everyday guys—stop by the pod to help them makes sense of it all. Like, what the hell is the manosphere and are there models of masculinity out there that don’t require domination to be strong?

Listen every other week as we invite (cis/trans/hetero/gay) men to take off the MASK that is masculinity from distinct yet connected perspectives.
